Your Hosted Omada service lets you view and manage your site's network equipment from the Zarro client portal. You can check devices and connected clients, review alerts, add compatible equipment and manage the settings available with your service.

Some controls depend on your service permissions, device model and current device status. Contact support if a feature you need is unavailable.

Open your network dashboard

  1. Sign in to the Zarro client portal.
  2. Open Services and select your Hosted Omada service.
  3. Check the site name shown at the top of the dashboard.

The summary cards show managed gateways, switches and access points. The Devices list can also include equipment waiting to be adopted, so its total may differ from the managed-device total.

Device and client tables refresh periodically. You can use Refresh, or Pause live updates while reviewing information. Search boxes, filters and clickable column headings help you find and sort equipment.

Find the information you need

Section What you can do
Devices View equipment, status, IP addresses, uptime and available health readings.
Connected clients Inspect computers, phones and other devices connected to the network.
Gateway WAN Review reported internet connection details for managed gateways. This tab appears when your site has a managed gateway.
Logs & Alerts Review unresolved/resolved alerts and System, Device or Client events.
Insights Explore traffic and client activity using interactive charts and date ranges.
Settings Manage your site's General and Device Settings, where editing is enabled.

Wireless clients can show signal strength, frequency and channel. Wired clients can show their switch port and VLAN. Session duration and traffic readings appear when available. The Reconnect control, where offered, briefly interrupts an individual wireless client's connection.

In Logs & Alerts, alerts appear above events. Use the alert-state filters, event categories, history range and search controls to narrow the results. The tab's alert indicator highlights unresolved alerts. Log search filters the currently displayed page; use the page controls and history/category filters to explore more events.

Insights supports date ranges within the last three calendar months, subject to available history. Use the chart legend to show or hide a series. Chart times use UTC. Wireless and switch traffic are shown separately and can overlap; these are monitoring figures. Managed-device quantities determine device usage charges.

Open a device's details

Click the eye icon beside a device. Its photo, or a placeholder, appears on the left. Tabs on the right provide:

  • Overview: model, status, MAC address, serial number, IP address, firmware and available health information.
  • Location & photo: your installation location, notes and photograph.
  • Controller settings: device renaming, when enabled for your service and supported by the device.

Save a location or photograph

  1. Open Location & photo.
  2. Enter a location, such as “First floor, cabinet A, shelf 2”, and any installation notes.
  3. Choose a JPEG or PNG photograph if required. The upload limit is 8 MB and 12 megapixels.
  4. Click Save location & photo.

These records are stored in the portal, separately from controller configuration. To replace a photograph, choose another file and save. To remove it, select Remove existing photo and save.

Rename a device

Open Controller settings, enter the new name and click Save device name. Close the popup and refresh the device list to confirm the controller-reported name.

Renaming changes the name in the controller. Your portal installation notes and photograph remain associated with the device.

Reboot, locate and inspect devices

Device-row controls are identified by their tooltips or labels:

  • Reboot — circular arrow: requests a device restart. Network access through that device will be interrupted while it restarts.
  • Locate — light bulb: flashes supported device LEDs to help you find the physical unit. Use the control again to stop locating it.
  • Firmware update — coloured upgrade icon: opens the update confirmation when a supported update is available.

Some actions require an online, available device.

For switches, open Device details & ports, then select a port to inspect its reported status, speed, VLAN, profile and connected clients, where available.

Add or adopt a device

Click Add Device. Review the category rates shown at the top before adding equipment. Any remaining service allowance affects the additional charge.

Connect using the site's inform URL

Use Copy URL in the Add Device popup, then follow the adoption instructions for your compatible device or setup tool. Always use the URL shown for your service. Contact support if you need help connecting the equipment.

The device needs power and network connectivity to reach the controller. Once it appears as pending in Devices, use Adopt if that control is available. Supply its existing local device credentials when required and confirm the request.

Register using a device key

  1. Find Zero-touch provisioning in the Add Device popup.
  2. Enter the device key from the device label or packaging.
  3. Optionally enter a device name.
  4. If the device already has a local administrator account, enter both fields under Existing device credentials. Otherwise, leave both empty.
  5. Click Add device and review its progress.

Registration and adoption can take time. The device must be compatible and able to reach the controller. If a request is unconfirmed, check its progress and the device inventory before submitting another request.

Install a firmware update

A firmware banner and Update available pill identify reported updates. View devices takes you to the device table with the update filter applied.

  1. Select the upgrade icon beside an eligible device.
  2. Review the current and target versions, plus any available release notes.
  3. Read the restart/interruption notice and confirm when you are ready.
  4. Wait for the update to complete and check the device's status.

Updating restarts the device and may disconnect clients. An Upgrading status shows progress is underway. If an update request is unconfirmed, check the device's status before trying again.

Manage site settings

Open Settings. General lets you update the site name and address when editing is enabled.

Under Device Settings, the available sections are:

  • Device LEDs: enable or disable normal status LEDs on supported devices.
  • SSH access: enable device SSH login, choose port 22 or a port from 1025–65535, and set access from other subnets where supported. Use your SSH client and the site's device account credentials to connect to its reachable address. Ask support if you do not know which device account to use.
  • SNMP monitoring: configure v1/v2c community settings or an SNMPv3 monitoring profile. Match the username, security, authentication and encryption settings to your monitoring setup.

Saved SNMP secrets are hidden. Leave secret fields blank to retain an unchanged profile; supply new credentials when enabling a protocol or changing its security profile. Follow the character rules shown in the form and save each section separately.

Site-wide settings apply to supported devices at this site.

Remove a device from management

Deleting a device removes controller management and its controller configuration/history. It may reset the device and interrupt network access. To manage it again, it must be factory reset and re-adopted; an offline device may need a manual factory reset.

If removal is enabled:

  1. Open the device's eye popup and select Overview.
  2. Expand Delete device.
  3. Read the warning and acknowledge the reset and loss of management.
  4. Click Delete device, then use Close & refresh to check the inventory.

The response confirms that removal was requested. If the result is uncertain, check the controller or contact support before trying again. This action retains your portal installation notes and photograph.

Understand device billing

The Metrics section below the dashboard shows collected usage and your service's rates for gateways, switches and access points. A service may also have a base recurring charge and included device allowances.

Managed devices continue to count while offline. Pending or unmanaged devices are excluded. Computers, phones and other entries under Connected clients do not count as managed network equipment.

Live inventory and collected billing usage can update at different times. Check the displayed update time, and use your invoice for the final charges.

Controller access and help

If you have a controller account, Actions → Login to Controller opens its login page. Use your controller credentials; the portal and controller logins are separate.

If you see Live update unavailable · showing last data, the displayed information may be out of date. Use Refresh or reopen the service. For an unconfirmed change, check the current state before repeating it.

When contacting support, include your service number, site name, affected device name/MAC, the approximate time and the error message or a screenshot. Keep passwords, device keys and SNMP secrets out of support messages.
