17th August 2024
These are the release notes for the August 2024 tranche of updates. We actively update and maintain our software packages as well as infrastructure to keep your sites running as fast as possible.
The changes in this release are as follows:
- Zarro Antispam Upgrades - Specific Release Notes have been published for Antispam changes.
- Zarro SafeNet Changes -
- Increased Request Threshold - Due to rate limiting of usual connections, we have increased the threshold of 1000 to 5000 requests per 60 seconds. Following testing, no further rate limits have been imposed.
- SafeNet Enablement Check - We have now added an option to the Broadband dashboard that tells you whether or not SafeNet is enabled for your circuit.

- Hosting Stack Upgrades -
- Web Hosting - DirectAdmin has been upgraded from version 1.665 to version 1.666
- VPS Hosting - The VPS Panel has been upgraded with hotfixes and security updates
- Endpoint Management Updates -
- WUA API Issue - Due to an issue with a patch released by Microsoft recently, the WUA API (Windows Update Agent) was preventing automated patching from our systems. We have now enabled a check on our systems to identify affected systems, and these will be resolved automatically.
- Security Updates -
- Portal Security - We have enabled Google ReCAPTCHA v3 on the Zarro Client Portal, upgrading from v2.
- General Updates -
- Zarro Rebrand - We have now changed the name of our notifications from 'AJRB Services Limited' to 'Zarro Technology'
- Email Address Changes - We have now switched to using @zarro.co.uk as our primary email domain. All the previous contact methods continue to work as usual, but replies will come from @zarro.co.uk
The above upgrades were performed in line with our regular patching schedule, and exclude other general maintenance patches, such as security updates and kernel updates which are performed regularly and in most cases, autonomously.
If you notice any issues in relation to the recent upgrades, please raise a support ticket.
