These are the release notes for the June 2024 tranche of updates. We actively update and maintain our software packages as well as infrastructure to keep your sites running as fast as possible.
The changes in this release are as follows:
- DirectAdmin Upgrade: We have upgraded to the latest current release of DirectAdmin,
1.664
- VPS Pricing Decrease: We have reduced the pricing of our VPS add-ons by 50%
- Antispam Updates: The Antispam cluster has been updated to the latest stable release
- Manual Order Verification for VPS 1-3: Our VPS 1-3 range now require manual approval from our Support Team before they're delivered, since they were commonly being used for abusive purposes.
- Asset Management: Due to be released later this year, we have begun the work on our Asset Manager module in our client portal - if you have ever purchased hardware or licenses from us, all the information about those assets will be available in the portal.
- Zarro Fusion Hub: Due to be released later this year (or early in 2025), we have begun developing our own desktop application that will allow users to securely install their own (approved) applications and perform system actions on their desktop, without the need for admin rights. This will interact with our remote management system, which will deploy these tasks on behalf of the user.
- New Partnership: We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with EMSISOFT, a leading Anti-Virus company. This allows us to sell both the home and commercial versions of the software, and provide support to our users, at a discounted price. More on this will be released as we progress with the integrations with our portal.
The above upgrades were performed in line with our regular patching schedule, and exclude other general maintenance patches, such as security updates and kernel updates which are performed regularly and in most cases, autonomously.
